The Breakthrough
Get unstuck and build a career you love, with the income to match!
It’s your dream to make a living from your music!
Music means everything to you. That’s why you’ve decided to go all-in on your music career. And at first, things went well—you’ve accomplished quite a bit.
People (not just your mom or close friends) are excited about what you create, and some cool opportunities have come your way. You know you are talented and make good music.
But lately, doubts have started to creep in.
You’re working so hard, but the growth seems to have stalled. And your hard work and creative success, arent reflected on your bank account eitther.
You feel that there’s so much more potential, but somehow it’s just not breaking through. The big goals you set for yourself are gathering dust. You’re frustrated, wondering if you’ll ever truly be able to make a living from your music or if you’ll be forced to give up your dream. And that’s the last thing you want!
It feels like everything is on the line right now—it’s make or break.
Do you recognise one or more of the following situations?
Fear of asking what you're worth
A gig request comes in. “Awesome!” you think. But then you start to sweat—next up is discussing the fee. You’re excited to take the gig and get paid well. But you’re also worried that if you ask too much, they might walk away and never ask you again. The same thing happens when you’re handed a contract. You know it could be a major step forward, but the minute it’s time to negotiate, you freeze. What if you ask for too much and they reject you or react badly?
Watching opportunities pass you by
You’re scrolling through social media and see a fellow songwriter working with artists you’d love to collaborate with or performing at festivals you’d love to play. You’re genuinely happy for them, but if you’re honest, it stings a bit. You know you move in the same musical circles and feel you’re just as talented. You have a network and connections, but somehow, big opportunities always seems to pass you by. You wonder, “Am I just not good enough?”
Struggling to grow your fanbase with loyal super fans
You live for the magic of sharing your music with others, and you dream of reaching even more people. You have a few loyal followers, but it often feels like everyone else is just passing by. Meanwhile, you see other artists with deeply engaged fans who comment on every post, show up front-row at their gigs, wear their merch, and want to be part of their world. You’d love to feel that same connection with your audience. But how do you get there? Posting more on social media hasn’t helped much so far. Do people even want to hear what you have to offer?
Working hard without seeing the growth you desire
You’re always busy with multiple activities. Jamming here, doing a songwriting session there, taking on gigs, the odd teaching job—even when you’re not thrilled about them—because who knows where it might lead, and every bit of income helps. But the joy you once felt in all these activities is slowly giving way to frustration. Despite working tirelessly and pouring all your time and energy into your music, your big goals remain out of reach.
Juggling non-music roles in your music career
Your week is eaten up by non-musical tasks like social media, networking, and admin. Each day feels like a battle to prioritize, and by the end of the week, you’re left wondering where all that time actually went. Despite all your effort, real breakthroughs are still elusive, and it’s starting to wear on you.
Financial insecurity
Every month, you face the same financial uncertainty. You never know exactly how much you’ll make, and it’s stressful. Sometimes it feels like you’re only just scraping by, never with enough financial security to focus fully on your passion.
And at family gatherings, you quietly hope no one asks you how your music career is going…
If the answer is ‘yes’, then you have come to the right place!
Let me introduce you to:
The Breakthrough
If any of the above resonates with you, I invite you to join my 1:1 program, The Breakthrough. With my guidance, you’ll break through the plateau in your music career over the next 6 months by stepping into the most successful version of yourself. No more playing small!
At the end of the 6 months:
You’ll know exactly how to present yourself in a way that gets others excited about what you do. You’ll learn how to showcase your unique talents without feeling like you have to “sell” yourself. Instead of waiting for that one big break, you’ll create opportunities by confidently stepping into the spotlight. Your network will finally work for you, and opportunities will start coming to you.
You are not afraid anymore to ask for a fair price for your work because you have learned to see and feel your value and know exactly how to communicate it from a place of confidence, connection and shared values. As a result, not only do you get paid what you deserve, but you are also building long-lasting relationships where your value is recognized.
You know how to effectively tell your unique story and engage your fans in a way that makes them feel connected to you and your music.
Instead of just collecting followers, you’re nurturing a community of super fans who are excited about your new releases, who attend your shows, become paid members of your community, follow your growth, and leave enthusiastic comments on your posts.
You have the right structure and strategies in place to work effectively and keep your creative goals clear. Tasks that once felt like burdens—like content creation, planning, and networking—now support your career instead of weighing you down. You manage your time wisely, know how to navigate the tough days and stay focused on what truly matters.
Instead of saying ‘yes’ to everything you make choices that align with your strengths and ambitions, allowing you to focus on the projects that truly make a difference. You feel more productive, have space for play and creativity, and are finally seeing real progress toward the big goals you’ve been dreaming of.
In short, ‘The Breakthrough’ is designed to help you achieve unprecedented income growth from your music and build a career that feels deeply fulfilling—a career that aligns with your unique skills, talent, and vision.
With the knowledge and confidence you gain, you’ll be taking daily, focused action towards a sustainable music career you can proudly look back on.
So that when family and friends ask “Are you making money from your music yet?” you’ll be able to respond with pride, saying, “Absolutely, I’m actually living off it!”
Sanne’s personal mentorship was invaluable – she certainly doesn’t use a one size fits all approach and works specifically with your circumstances.
My income has increased while my work-life balance has improved following our sessions!
I can certainly recommend her as a mentor.
What makes The Breakthrough different from other coaching programs for artists?
I don’t believe in sifting through more tips and tutorials. You don’t need another course on how to grow on Spotify, you don’t need more tips on what to post for engagement. It’s not due to lack of information or knowledge that you are stuck.
You have everything you need already inside you!
Together, we’ll go beyond surface-level tactics, focusing on conscious success actions that lead to real growth.
Instead of getting lost in details, we’ll take a bird’s-eye view, working on your big picture. You’ll learn to act from a place of clarity and confidence, making choices that directly support your biggest goals.
The Breakthrough isn’t about quick fixes but about activating the skills and mindset already within you, empowering you to move forward as the artist you know, deep down, you are meant to be!
The Breakthrough is for you if:
- You don’t doubt your musical talent—you know you’re good at what you do.

What other artists have to say about working with me!
Susana became an advocate for me in developing the skills and mindset essential to get the results I was after.
I’ve since had a track picked up by a major genre label and have been able to get doors opened that I likely would never have known to open on my own.
Further she’s taught me techniques and given me practical knowledge that has set the stage for more growth and success on my path.
Susana has lived the journey herself. She understands the emotional rollercoaster ride that building a music career can be and the impact it can have on the artist.
She handles this both professionally and with the care of a big sister.
After speaking with Susana I feel much better and more motivated!
I was unsure about so many things and was unable to make the decisions I needed to make, but Susana led me on the right path.
Her advice was really helpful and made so much sense, I no longer feel lost.
I struggled with many doubts, with thoughts like “I will never earn enough money to make a living of it” or “there are so many more talented musicians than me” (…) I had no plan.
And Sanne did not just show me my plan, she showed me how I can make my own plan. How I can find my best way that fits to my goals.
Thank you so much Sanne! You are the best guide I could find.

Every time I get confused Susana has great insights due to her years of experience. Those always help me figure out my next steps.
She functions as my compass in building my own creative business.
Every time I risk getting lost she picks me up and gets me further.
What I appreciate about Susana is that she’s real. She has walked the walk herself.
Especially her philosophy of building a music career that fits who you are, without burning yourself out, speaks to me.
The process of building a music career can get overwhelming and make me feel insecure at times, but Susana’s mental support helps me to find balance and keep it sustainable.
Meet your coach 🙂
Hi I am Sanne (artist name Susana)!
I’m a singer, songwriter, and performer with over 20 years of experience as a songwriter and one of the leading voices in the Trance music world.
I currently live in The Netherlands with my boyfriend and our son. I’m passionate about making music, growing as an artist, and helping others find their unique path to success.
Navigating a male-dominated dance music industry wasn’t easy, but I found a way to build a sustainable, fulfilling career in music. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with top DJs and producers worldwide, including legends like Armin van Buuren and Dash Berlin. I’ve had the joy of performing at iconic festivals like Tomorrowland in Belgium, Untold Festival in Romania, and Godskitchen in Australia—dreams I held since childhood. Recently, I even launched my own label, Susa Records, and opened an online merch store, The Susana Shop, which connects me directly with my fans.
One of my proudest achievements was celebrating my 15th anniversary as a vocalist with an acoustic concert called Susana15 in 2019. Over 350 fans attended, with some traveling from as far as Japan, Canada, and Portugal.
Moments like these remind me of the impact our music and our journey can have on others.
The turning point in my career was when I learned to think differently about how I approached my music.
I started to focus on building my career in a way that felt right for me, leaning into my strengths and my vision.
And while I may not naturally be “business-minded” and certainly don’t fit the typical mold of a business person, I discovered that anyone can learn the skills needed to grow and thrive.
